Perhaps, now, others in the present company have received this impression, not I alone. Accordingly, my excellent friend, prove to us incontestably that we are mistaken in preferring justice to injustice."

But now you perceive, Thrasymachus, for still let us give some attention to our former statements, that while you at first defined the physician as the true physician you no longer saw fit afterwards to adhere strictly to the true shepherd, but you think that he tends his sheep, in his capacity of shepherd, not with a view to what is best for the sheep, but like some feaster who is about to enjoy a banquet, for the sake of the good cheer, or again for the purpose of selling them, like a money-maker, and not like a shepherd.
