in Bulkrania. Many a time the Queen had wondered why he preferred his German home, but she never learned its secret.
And Madame Freda was perfectly happy and content. This powerfully-minded man exercised a fascination over her that she easily mistook for the most exquisite of all passions-and so he had always seemed to hold her ! " Yes. It is quite all right from my end-but I there any chance of it going wrong ? I cannot have my plans ruined at the last moment by a mere mechanical breakdown."
" Everything is in duplicate," said the colourless voice.
" But there is only one cable," insisted the Chief.
