THE new baby was another girl and I thought that this time I would like to give her a pretty name and Frank said he thought Beatrice was a pretty name and I said yes it was. Only after awhile Frank and I got to calling her Beatty. I guess I was the happiest of all when Beatty was born because I had so nearly lost her so after I got out of bed I had a sort of small party just for mama and papa and papa made Frank drink beer and they both got kind of funny and they sang Old Budweiser's A Friend of Mine and it was the first time I ever saw Frank that way.
And that night when I was lying in bed I thought now I have four children and I'm not even twenty-three. I have Danny and he's three and a half and I have Artie and he's two and I have Jenny and she's one and I have Beatty and she's only three weeks not really anything at all. And I laughed to myself and I guess I was happy.
But in the daytimes I didn't have time to think like that and I just worked and worked. Every once in a while I looked out of the window to see how Danny was and once I heard him
