years bring and I thought wasn't it nice to have a baby born in a brand new year like 1900. And then my skirts began to feel tight and my blouses too and I didn't wear any extra ruffles any more on my corset covers because I got so big there. Mama said I must go to see a doctor now and I was so glad because I wasn't feeling very good on account of such awful heartburn. He never let me carry anything heavy and in the morning before he went to work he carried up the pails of coal from the cellar for me and he said I must get a little boy and give him a few pennies to carry my bundles for me. He made such a fuss about me I was ashamed always petting me and jumping up to bring me things. But he helped me with the dishes and I was glad because I was getting such a tired feeling all the time and after February I didn't want to move much at all but just wanted to lie or sit still and Frank got me a young Polish girl to help me with the housework because I was getting so heavy on my feet but she was such a trial I couldn't make her understand a thing and she wasn't clean like I wanted her to be. And all the time I kept noticing all the changes in my body and wondering about them and taking all the medicines the doctor told me to take and taking the soda almost all the time.
We went to the doctor again and he said why she's going to have a boy sure as you know. And Frank laughed and it came on me how all these months I was so busy watching
